Building a Culture of Collaborative Innovation
The FSU Humanities Center develops programs for pursuing excellence and advancing research and teaching in the various fields of the humanities, including the affiliated departments within the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Fine Arts and the College of Music. The center fosters a culture of interdisciplinarity, collaboration, and long-term vision among its various FSU constituencies and will cultivate relationships with the FSU Panama City campus and with educational and cultural institutions in Tallahassee as its reach grows.
The success of the FSU Humanities Center is directly related to the enthusiastic involvement of its eight affiliated departments and programs and wider university and community membership, cultivated through frequent in-person gatherings to discuss research, plan projects, engage with lecturers, teach, and brainstorm.
