Evan Jones

Evan Jones' dissertation explores interrelated issues at the intersection of the philosophy of mind and epistemology, the theory of knowledge. It is oriented around the theme of self-conscious rationality as an essential feature of the human mind. In his dissertation chapters, Jones explores this theme in application to philosophical issues including mental causation, perceptual knowledge, knowledge of embodied skills, self-knowledge, the distinction between rational and non-rational minds, and our knowledge and understanding of linguistic rules.
